It’s wicked Wednesday. Hump Day. The week is half over. Time for a wicked indulgence. Comfort for a bad day or celebration for a good day. You earned it.
1. Movie and Popcorn
Watch your favorite movie with some hot buttered popcorn and an icy, cold soda. Have some Milk Duds, Junior Mints, or M&M’s too. A good movie will distract you from your worries and munching on popcorn is a good stress reliever.
2. Scented Bath
3. Love Letter
Write yourself a love letter. Select some pretty stationery and a cool pen. Amp up your self-esteem. You are amazing and someone needs to tell you just how wonderful and loveable you are. Spread the love. Write one for your lover, your children, or your best friend. Love talk feels good.
4. Dance Dance Revolution
Put on your favorite music and dance, dance, dance. Music soothes the savage breast and it burns calories too. Dance Dance Revolution is so much fun. Look for it on PlayStation, Wii, X-Box, or PC.
5. Do Something Different
Do something different. Add some variety to your life. Distract yourself with pleasure. Try a new hairdo or makeover. Go to a new movie or restaurant. Explore an area of town or a park you have never visited. Check out the 365 Things in 365 Days project for ideas.
6. Organize your closet
Organize your closet. Nothing can make you feel more in control of your life than cleaning or organizing your space. Read: 21 Genius Ways To Organize Your Closets And Drawers for some creative ideas on organizing your closet.
7. Cuddle up with your pet or favorite human.
Cuddle your baby. Pet your dog. Nuzzle your mate. Feel the love and comfort of being skin on skin with another living soul. Feeling the warmth and listening to a heartbeat is so comforting. Cuddling, kissing, and hugging reduces stress and feels good.
Food cravings. Comfort food. Burger and fries. Fried chicken and buttery mashed potatoes. Pizza. Dairy Queen Blizzard. Bake a batch of brownies. Screw the calories. You deserve a special treat once in a while.
10. Take a nap.
Get some zzzz’s. Everything looks better when you are rested and refreshed.
Need a license to chill? You can always go to bar and have a few drinks to chill out. Invite a friend, have a few drinks, listen to some loud music, munch on appetizers or popcorn. Drinking is relaxing and fun. Drinking in moderation is somewhat healthy. Being “over-served” or drinking too much can be brutal. Watch out for shots – shots are the devil! Drunk texting and drunk Facebooking can land you in a world of trouble. Drunk driving is trouble too. Hangovers are a bitch.
