It is just another manic Monday! It is April 16th and snowing again! Can you believe it is only 28 degrees outside? We are expecting unusually cold weather for the rest of the week. And, it looks like my husband left the cover off the grill again.
I am feeling frustrated and depressed today and the weather is not helping. I am so bored and restless!
I had a really good exercise routine until last Wednesday. Five times a week, I was doing the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home video for 4 miles, lifting weights, yoga, and meditation. It was taking me about an hour, but it made me feel so good. All of last week, my calves were exceptionally tight and just a little painful. Something blew out in my thigh on Wednesday and my whole leg is still very painful. I am having difficulty walking and it aches like the devil! I rested all weekend. A heating pad and Tylenol seemed to make the pain tolerable.
I have a yearly doctor appointment this afternoon so I will ask him to take a look at it. Maybe that will even distract him from my disastrous weight gain!
I am so disappointed because I had just taken my bicycle into the shop for a spring tuneup. And, I am pretty anxious to start spring cleaning. My house feels so unorganized. But that will all have to wait until my leg heals.
I thought I would just relax for a week and catch up on my reading and my blog and the new online stores I am creating. But I am feeling a little tired and depressed and it is difficult for me to concentrate.
I am very excited about my new eBay store. I have been selling on eBay for years. I really enjoy meeting new customers. I began by selling my craft items to help pay for my son’s college tuition. It was a lot of work and I quit after he graduated. Lately I needed something to do so I opened a new store and named it “The Wild Roses Gift Shoppe”. I am stocking gift items and decorations with a holiday theme. I have socks, scarves, jewelry, home decor, dog sweaters, and lots of other things. I am also selling a lot of my handmade items: holiday coasters, potholders, baby hats, and jewelry. It is doing very well and I love it!
Then, there is my brand new Etsy Store: The Wild Rose Gift Shoppe, where I am listing my handmade things. I just finished crocheting dozens of spring flower coasters in all kinds of colors. I just love the feel of soft, warm yarn in my hands and the joy of creating something beautiful. To me, happiness is creating and giving pretty homemade gifts. I absolutely love to make beautiful things.
So, in reality, I have a lot of things to look forward to. My leg injury is just a bump in the road. This will give me time to research some new weight information and recipes. My husband also needs to lose some weight. He is not easy to feed. We are taking a cruise to Cuba in May and want to look and feel our best.
Meanwhile, I am going to look for a new exercise video to do when I recover. And, perhaps I will find a you-tube about exercising while injured.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
