We stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites at Orange City, Fl on the way back from our vacation in Fort Lauderdale. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the Orlando Sanford International Airport and is located in quiet area filled with restaurants, bars, shops, and gas stations.
The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Orange City has a pretty lobby and dining area. The dining area is huge and has a fireplace. There is a free hot breakfast buffet every morning. There is an office area in one corner of the lobby. There is a small sundries shop, an outdoor pool, a small jacuzzi, guest laundry, and a workout room downstairs. There are ice and vending machines on each floor. It has about anything you could want.
The check in clerk was very helpful and very friendly.
We had a wheel chair accessible room with a king bed. The room was very clean. It was decorated in a modern style in a dark red color. There was a large window with blackout drapes. The corner next to the bed held a comfy easy chair with footstool and lamp. There was a small table in the other corner holding an ice bucket and glasses.
The bed was low but very comfortable. The linens were clean and soft. We had 4 pillows that were a little too soft for our taste. There were nightstands on each side of the bed with one drawer and a lamp. There was a telephone and a clock radio. There was a full length mirror next to the closet and a mirror over the desk.
Opposite the bed was a desk and office chair with lamp and Keurig coffeemaker. Also along that wall were a refrigerator with a small microwave oven, a dresser with an HDTV, and a long, low bench.
There was a small closet with hangers and a safe.
The bathroom was huge and had an iron, ironing board, and a hair dryer. There was a combination bathtub/shower, a toilet, and a small sink with a pretty, round mirror above it. There were hand rails around the bathtub and the toilet. We had more than enough clean fluffy towels and White Citrus Bath and Body essentials.
There were plenty of electric plug in receptacles.
Wifi was free and worked very well.
There were free cookies in the lobby when we arrived. They were delicious. We were looking forward to using the jacuzzi but it was too windy for soaking outside. We also regret that we had to leave too early to experience the breakfast.
There are several Restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance.

We booked through our IHG Rewards Club. The IHG club offers a points program allowing you to earn rewards such as free rooms and upgrades if you stay at any Holiday Inn, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, or Crowne Plaza or book car through Hertz. It has worked well for us.
