We booked a king bed room on the first floor. It was large and spacious. The room was clean but did show a little aging in the furnishings and walls. The Baymont Inn and Suites is a Wyndham property.
We had a sitting area with a sofa bed, lamp, and hassock. There was a large desk that was big enough for two people with a lamp, internet connection, electric plug in receptacles and a desk chair.
The sink was outside the bathroom. It was nestled in a cupboard with shelves, a microwave oven, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, in room safe, and ice bucket. There was plenty of room for storage, grooming, or preparing a snack. There was a large lighted mirror over the the sink.
The bathroom was located in the middle of the room facing the sink. There was a nice toilet and bathtub/shower with plenty of towels and essentials.
The bedroom area had a full length mirror, a dresser with plenty of shelves and drawers, a closet with iron and ironing board, luggage rack, and plenty of hangers. We had a large window facing the pool area with view of the mountains with room darkening drapes. There was small HDTV on the dresser opposite the bed.
The large king bed was slightly hard and uncomfortable and we only had two pillows each. There were nightstands on either side of the bed with lamps and a clock radio, electric plug in receptacles, and a telephone.
The air conditioning, the mini fridge, and WIFI were very, very, good. We would have liked a bigger tv and more pillows but it was a very nice and spacious room.
The breakfast buffet was very nice: waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, fruits, toast and bagels, donuts, yogurt, juice, and coffee. The dining room was very spacious.
There was an indoor pool with water slide. There was also an outdoor pool and hot tub facing the mountains which was very nice. We relaxed in the hot tub for about an hour, drinking our Coors Lite Beer and watching a storm come down from the mountains. It was amazing.
The hotel also has a business center and fitness center and is located near many restaurants and shopping centers.
The employees are not exactly unfriendly, but seem to be a little suspicious of the guests. My husband accidentally dropped one of room keys into the ice machine while getting ice. We told the clerk and she seemed to think we were crazy or something.
Pros: Spacious rooms. Free breakfast in a spacious dining room with a variety of foods. Amazing views of Pikes Peak and the mountains. Perfect pool and hot tub. Good location.
Cons: Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Room was a little worn.
